This course will equip the learners with the relevant knowledge and skills with the essential skills to protect themselves in line with national standards.

• Five Moments of Hand Hygiene
• Hand Hygiene Technique
• PPE – Practical Demonstration & Assessment.
• Respiratory Hygiene and Cough Etiquette
• Dealing with Spills of Blood and Body Fluids Safely
• Dealing with a Needle stick injury or blood or body fluid splashes onto eyes or broken skin
• Care and Disposal of Sharps (Needles)
• Management of Healthcare Risk Waste
• Management of Laundry
• HCAI Causes and Occurrences.

Assessment

The course comprises theory and practical. There will be a short written test and skills demonstration as part of the assessment.

Certified by Edmart Training & Consultancy.

Certification Validity: 2 Years

Refresher Course:

The learners must undergo refresher training every two years.
