Health Care Assistants (HCA) play a major role in caring for service users in Irish healthcare industry. Our specially designed HCA General Onboarding Induction Training aims to provide knowledge and skills for aspiring carers to be able to provide the highest level of professional care adhering to all of the care industry standards and legislation in Ireland.
This programme is developed for anyone entering into healthcare industry as a fresher especially employees from Non-EU countries as it will cover a lot about Irish culture and standards in healthcare adhering to HSE, HSA and HIQA standards.
The HCA Induction is available for all new HCAs and HCAs with experience looking forward to enhance knowledge and skills to provide enhanced quality care for service users in a variety of healthcare settings including hospitals, nursing homes, community healthcare settings and so son.
On Day 1 of the HCA Induction, participants will have theoretical learning and hands on experience learning on the following areas:
Seasonal and Therapeutic
Our HCA General Onboarding Induction Training is a two day classroom based instructor led practical training conducted in our training suite in Dublin 22. (Eircode: D22 RD28). The learners will have a dedicated tutor to provide support, advice and guidance. Our learning & development plan for each new HCA will enhance them with the theoretical and practical knowledge to help them work safely and effectively. This training will be a mixture of classroom based education sessions, simulation, workshops and hands on experience with real healthcare equipment and products.

On Day 2 of the HCA Induction will majorly concentrate on the Manual Handling and People Handling course.
The course comprises of theory and practical. There will be Theory Test and Practical Skills Demonstration as part of the assessment. You will be taught in a very practical, hands-on manner and will be assessed as you go along to ensure you have the required level of understanding of each element.

2 Days
This is a two day course. It starts at 11.00hrs and ends at 17.00hrs each day
All courses are delivered by a qualified QQI Level 6 Instructor.
All our tutors are qualified instructors for Manual Handling and Patient Handling, Fire Safety Marshal, Infection Prevention and Control and many more. Therefore, as part of the induction training, the successful participants will receive accredited certifications on Manual Handling and Patient Handling. The successful participants will also receive an HCA Induction Course completion certificate by Edmart Training and Consultancy. These certifications will be valid for two years.

2 Years
This classroom based instructor led practical training is conducted in our training suite in Dublin 22. (Eircode D22 RD28).
The learners are recommended to undergo refresher training every two years and when there is any major change in the work involved or equipment used or when an employee is transferred to another setting requiring different people to be handled.
No Refund will be provided if cancelling or “No-Show” on the course or a failure to complete the course.
