Chain of Infection
Five Moments of Hand Hygiene
Hand Hygiene Technique
PPE – Practical Demonstration & Assessment.

Respiratory Hygiene and Cough Etiquette
Dealing with Spills of Blood and Body Fluids Safely
Dealing with a Needle stick injury or blood or body fluid splashes onto eyes or broken skin
Care and Disposal of Sharps (Needles)

Management of Healthcare Risk Waste
Management of Laundry
HCAI Causes and Occurrences.

Assessment

The course comprises theory and practical. There will be a short written test and skills demonstration as part of the assessment.
